Biblical Cure for Type 2 Diabetes

Sherry

Wait, I’ve heard about a biblical cure for Type 2 Diabetes?

Well unfortunately, there is currently no absolute cure for Type 2 Diabetes.  One known way to manage Type 2 Diabetes is through diet, by eating foods such as the Ezekiel bread that is mentioned in the Bible. Some people have heard that there is a biblical cure for Type 2 Diabetes. We did some searching and the closest thing we can find is this bread mentioned in the Bible.

This bread is made from various sprouted grains and legumes. They include wheat, barley, millet, lentils, and spelt. It also contains no added sugar or preservatives. Its nutritional value has not been extensively studied, But it is considered to be a healthy option for those with Type 2 Diabetes.

God provided the prophet Ezekiel with a recipe for the ideal bread in the Book of Ezekiel.

Science shows that this bread produces the “complete protein,”1https://www.webmd.com/diet/ezekiel-bread-is-it-good-for-you containing all essential amino acids. Ezekiel bread is healthier than other bread.  Why? Because the wheat and legumes are soaked and sprouted, making them simpler to digest. By going through this process, it breaks down the complex carbohydrates into more digestible sugars. This makes it a much better option for people looking to maintain a healthy diet.

Highly refined flour and includes extra sugar and hidden oils make up most sliced bread at the stores. It is produced with highly refined flour and includes extra sugar and hidden oils. Such bread leads to blood sugar spikes in those with Type 2 Diabetes. It also leads to problems like insulin resistance, weight gain, and constipation.

Ezekiel Breads are a great source of both fiber and protein.

Each slice typically contains three grams of fiber. It also has four to five grams of protein per slice. This makes it a nutritious choice for any meal. Since it’s rich in protein and fiber, it may help you control your appetite, keep weight under control, and encourage weight loss.

Because it is made with sprouted grains and doesn’t contain any added sugar, this makes it low on the glycemic index. That means it won’t cause a spike in your blood sugar levels like other types of bread.

Although Ezekiel Bread is not a cure for Type 2 Diabetes, it is likely to be beneficial for those with type 2 Diabetes. Research shows that people who eat more fiber have a lower risk of developing type 2 diabetes and better blood sugar control.

If you are the type who loves to make your own bread, you could also sprout your own grains and try to make this on your own!

If you are like me and any grains, including the sprouted ones, raise your blood sugar, perhaps a ketogenic diet might be better. Read more here about whether this diet is safe or not.
